The NYPD Candidate Assessment Center processes candidates for agencies across the City; including the Department of Corrections, Department of Investigation, Probation, Sanitation, Human Resource Administration and many more. The Center has the largest collection of experts, investigators, medical and psychological personnel utilized specifically for the assessment of public safety candidates for a multi-phase selection process across the City.

The Candidate Assessment Center recently acquired the responsibility for the assessment of School Safety Agents. Candidates who apply for these positions can have long wait periods (up to 2 years) to progress through each stage of the multi-phase process; from basic skills assessment, medical evaluation, physical ability, background investigation and so on. As a result of extended wait periods, completed candidate testing components may expire, further burdening the system with re-processing and ultimately causing a delay in selection and hiring decisions.

The NYPD engaged Leverage via the Innovative Procurement Method to support the overflow of Psychological Assessments for processing. Our solution provides end-to-end Psychological assessment support:

By implementing our solution, the Candidate Assessment Center was able to decrease the pressure on the internal Psychological Assessment Unit, and process 214 School Safety Agents in 6 months with zero appeals. 214 candidates were processed seamlessly in groups between 5 and 40 per administration.
